At first this Attack Shark x65 HE seems like a great budget keyboard if it truly was all it claimed to be. But I couldn't get to "up to 8000hz" polling rates even if I tried. I know using an online polling test may not be highly accurate. I even turned off the RGB, used the provided coiled cable but the highest I ever got was 1000hz. Maybe it's a setting in the software, but then you'd need to download the driver and software which I didn't end up doing. Then part of the problem is my equipment...it likely doesn't support up to 8000hz polling rates. Which brings me to the point of this keyboard. Unless your hardware supports "up to 8000hz" polling rates, you wouldn't need this keyboard. Then the second thing, are the games you play even supporting 8000hz polling rate? If not, you wouldn't need this keyboard. As an OG CS gamer, we didn't have 1000hz polling rate keyboards....getting the headshot was about skill, not about a 0.1mm actuation point. And if you're at the level of a pro, you'd invest in better equipment anyway. Not sure who this is for exactly...I guess it's a feel good placebo purchase for those who aren't quite that good but think better equipment could make them just a tad better. But this is my first magnetic hall effect keyboard and I'm just a little underwhelmed. Not only by the fact that yes it's hot swappble, although only with other HE switches, it's almost....boring. It uses outemu magnetic switches on an aluminum plate. The sound is crisp, mid-range clacky. Keyboard has a good weight. But, i have no intention of prying this thing open for a mod since I'm limited by the fact that I don't have other magnetic switches to use for this PCB. Hence my 4 star, it does what it needs to do, relatively well but at a $100 price point at the time of writing, I think you can get a ton of other non-HE mechanical keyboards in this price range that are WAY more fun. And with a lighter linear switch you'll be fast too. These magnetic switches have a heavier keypress feel.

Good HE Keyboard for the price

Good hall effect keyboard. 8k feels crazy and online software works well. Great for the price, works as well as any 200$ HE kb just might sound a little worse (but in my opinion this keyboard sounds great anyways)

Great for the price

Way nicer then I would've expected from a smaller company. The keys are nice and quiet but still crazy responsive. The fact that there magnetic as well is really cool. The software is okay, hard to understand but it also has a crazy amount you can customise. Overall, this is well worth the money

Just get it

PROs - Easy to use software, highly customizable actuation, and performs as advertised. CONS - Only one some may possibly encounter is the difficulty in customization. It’s hot swap, but if you’re a super enthusiast doing tape mods and such, then you’ll be frustrated getting this keyboard taken apart.Overall - An absolute steal compared to competition, and sounds decent enough even for keeb snobs right out the box.

We wanted to try this keyboard for our shared gaming space, and it's been a hit with all three of us - my husband, our 9 year old, and me. The rapid trigger and adjustable actuation make a huge difference, especially in fast paced games. My husband swears it’s improved his aim, and our daughter loves how smooth it feels when she’s playing Roblox or Minecraft. The RGB lighting looks pretty without being over the top, and the coiled cable adds a clean look to our setup. It’s responsive, well built, and surprisingly premium. It's become the go-to keyboard in the house for all tasks, not just gaming. 5/5 would recommend!

Hall Effect Switches are A Game Changer!

Hall Effect magnetic switches are a real interesting treat. Let's break this one down.Quality -The keyboard is built rather well, and the switches are unique. Hall effect means that the switches use magnetism to tell when the key is pressed, and to what degree. More on that later.Comfort -As a smaller keyboard, this one wasn't for me. Hence the removed star. But, I really like how easy it is to use this keyboard, it's effortless. I've used a great deal of keyboards over my many years of computing, and I'm only just getting into hot-swappable keyboards such as this one, but I think these magnetic keys are very comfortable to use, and with some tweaking or adjustment in the settings, you could really find that the typing experience is perfection.Functionality -Hall effect switches, I keep mentioning them. They are a switch type that uses magnets to identify several things. Keypress, keypress velocity, and depth. So what does that entail, exactly? Well, for one thing, you can basically use this keyboard as a controller. You know how if you're using a Switch, PS5 or XBox controller and you're playing a racing game, how you can slightly press one of the trigger buttons and you accelerate only a little, but open up the throttle when you pull the trigger all the way? It's like that here. The magnetic effect can tell how far you've pressed the key, resulting in more fine control over things like acceleration or turning in games like this. And also, the keys are so nice that the keyboard also makes a nice sound, too. Very easy on the ears. It's no bubble-wrap, but it's pretty close.I can recommend this. If they put out a 98% version, I'd be down to try it!

I’m seriously impressed with the ATTACK SHARK X65 HE Rapid Trigger 60% Wired Gaming Keyboard! As a gamer, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect keyboard that not only looks sleek but also gives me that edge in performance. This little powerhouse has definitely delivered in both style and functionality.Let’s talk build quality first—this keyboard is rock solid. The compact 60% layout makes it super sleek and saves a ton of space on my desk, which is perfect for someone who likes a tidy setup. Despite being smaller, it doesn’t sacrifice on sturdiness. The keycaps feel solid and durable, and the matte finish on the top plate gives it a premium, high-quality feel. It has this clean, minimalist look that’s so satisfying, especially when paired with RGB lighting.Speaking of RGB lighting, this keyboard has some of the most customizable lighting options I’ve ever seen. You get vibrant, bright colors that pop, and you can easily cycle through different effects or set your own using the software. The backlighting really adds a dramatic flair to my gaming setup, and the colors shine through the keys without any issues. Now, onto the performance—the ATTACK SHARK X65 HE is seriously FAST. The Rapid Trigger technology really lives up to the name. The switches are super responsive, which is a huge deal when it comes to gaming. Every key press feels crisp and immediate, making it perfect for fast-paced games where every millisecond counts. The mechanical switches provide satisfying tactile feedback, so I know exactly when a key has been registered. The 60% layout is a game-changer, especially for gamers like me who prefer more space for mouse movement and need to be quick and efficient with their key presses. It takes a little getting used to if you're used to a full-sized keyboard, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. The ergonomics are great, and it doesn’t feel cramped. The anti-ghosting and N-key rollover features are fantastic for gaming. I never have to worry about multiple key presses not registering during intense moments—everything works exactly as it should. Whether I’m performing combos in a fighting game or trying to execute a complex movement in an FPS, the keyboard responds accurately. The wiring is long enough to give you some flexibility, and the fact that it’s wired helps eliminate any latency issues. Plus, the cord feels well-made and has enough durability for long-term use. No flimsy cables here—just a sturdy, high-quality connection. One last note on the software: it’s intuitive and easy to use. Setting up custom macros or adjusting lighting profiles is straightforward, and you can store your settings directly on the keyboard. It’s nice not to have to rely on software every time I boot up.Overall, the ATTACK SHARK X65 HE is a fantastic gaming keyboard that combines stunning design, stellar performance, and awesome customization. It’s the perfect balance of style and substance, and whether you're gaming, typing, or just looking to upgrade your setup, this keyboard will absolutely deliver. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Good keyboard with crazy fast switches

This is my first keyboard with these magnetic hall effect switches. These switches are fast and responsive. The build quality is pretty good but not the best for this price point. The RGB is decent, I have not messed with the software, but changing the colors and effect on the keyboard is very similar to other keyboards I have tried. This 65% layout is one of my favorites and this keyboard is a nice form factor.Overall, this keyboard is pretty good. Parts of the plastic case feel cheaper than I would have liked, especially for this price point. I also wish this keyboard had a little more weight to it, but it doesn't feel too light.

Great HE keyboard for the price!

The sound and feel of this keyboard is excellent, being a HE style. I'm not a fan of OEM keycaps, so i switched to another Cherry Keycap style and this keyboard is now perfect. Gaming is great. Stabs are somewhat lubed, so no rattling. It is only wired, but no issue for me as I game with only wired keyboards. Definitely a recommendation if you wanted to try HE switches.

Is this going to be the best keyboard you'll ever use? I highly doubt it, but for this price it's a fantastic choice. The keycaps are good quality, with no shine nor any fingerprint issues. The stabilizers don't have any rattle and are tuned well. The lighting isn't blinding but it's enough for people who enjoy RGB, and the sound profile is more on the lower/deep side. The switches are on the heavier side of linear. The main draw of HE keyboards is their lower actuation range/ability for the switches to be customized in terms of actuation points. This can be customized on this keyboard on QMK.top, after installing some drivers for it. While the software isn't nice to use, it's still able to adjust the keystrokes of each individual switch, which is great considering that some similarly priced boards just control actuation for the entire board. There are of course settings for RGB and key customization as well. The main drawback is the rest of the chassis. While it is still a nice keyboard to type on, the plastic chassis is somewhat flimsy, and does bend a noticeable amount if you press on the back. This won't be an issue if you're just keeping it on your desk though.Overall, if you're looking for a good quality keyboard at this price point, this is a good choice. It has decent tuning, a nice sound profile, and HE switches. The only tradeoff would be a weaker chassis, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
